Abstract

This essay concerns a personal pataphysical philosophy. Pataphysics is the “science” of imaginary solutions; it relates to metaphysics as metaphysics to physics. Although generally a parody of science, nothing prevents us from taking the concept of pataphysics seriously and even redefining it if needed! That is exactly what we did! The basis of this work is personal imagination, although elements of science and religion are certainly included where needed in the theory. In our imagination, we penetrated Heaven to look what is going on there. We discovered that Heaven (a Spiritual Singularity!) is the only real(!) Reality; all other so-called realities, both spiritual and physical, are virtual(!) and included in Heaven. “All there is” originates from Heaven and fully takes place in Heaven! We discovered the substantial Entities “AllSoul”, “AllSpirit” (or “All-Embracing Plan”), “AllReality” and “AllGod” in Heaven. We discovered that lower-order aspects of these Entities are determinative for, among others, our “human-experienced physical world”. We discovered that this physical world is pure Consciousness (Soul Experience), and on a still deeper level “Divine Spirit”.  “All there is”, and absolutely “all there is”, is subject to eternity, immutability, and oneness!

 

Point by point provisional(!) extended summarizing conclusions

  1. “All there is” (spiritual or physical, such as our immense universe) originates from an eternal and immutable “Spiritual Singularity” (in our theory considered as the “Heaven”!), and fully(!) takes place in this Spiritual Singularity!
  2. The “Spiritual Singularity” can be regarded as an “imaginary point” of Consciousness of infinite density/intensity and infinite depth; in other words, a point of infinite Consciousness. (Note that infinity is a key characteristic of singularity.)
  3. On the level of infinite Consciousness, the Spiritual Singularity is substantially a real(!) Reality, actually the only real(!) Reality. All other so-called “spiritual Realities” and “physical realities” are virtual(!) and included in the real(!) Reality of the Spiritual Singularity. This explains our previous statement that “all there is” takes fully place in the Spiritual Singularity.
  4. Through its four inner substantial Entities, namely the “AllSoul” (Infinite Consciousness), “AllSpirit” (“All-Embracing Plan”), and the “AllReality” with its inner Experiencer the “AllGod”, the Spiritual Singularity possesses all “ingredients” needed for an “eternal realization” of all virtual spiritual Realities and virtual physical realities within it, specifically within the “AllReality”.
  5. The mentioned four Entities in the Spiritual Singularity are equal(!) but distinguishable in their meaning. Similar to the “Spiritual Singularity”, its constituent Entities are each real, eternal, and immutable. 
  6. The relational cohesion between the four Entities in the “Spiritual Singularity” can be pointed out as follows: the “AllSoul” experiences the “All-Embracing Plan” (or “AllSpirit) as “AllReality” (including its inner Experiencer, the “AllGod”).
  7. The “AllGod” is the inner Experiencer of but also equal to the “AllReality”. We consider the AllGod therefore as the ultimate extension of the God of Spinoza. Moreover, the AllGod reflects the Divine Trinity {AllSoul, AllSpirit, AllReality}. 
  8. The “AllSpirit” (or “All-Embracing Plan”) is the most fundamental of the four constituent Entities in the Spiritual Singularity. The All-Embracing Plan is an infinite set of spiritual relations: “top-down spiritual relations” (as regards the virtual spiritual(!) Reality) and an infinite set of corresponding "bottom-up spiritual relations” (as regards the virtual physical(!) reality).
  9. Rules and laws in the virtual physical(!) reality, such as physical and evolutionary, have their conceptual origin in the switch from top-down to corresponding bottom-up spiritual relations, in other words from spiritual to physical. The virtual spiritual(!) Reality is thought to be ruleless and lawless.
  10. Since the “AllSpirit” is most fundamental, the equality of AllSoul, AllSpirit, AllReality and AllGod implies that these Entities are in their very essence “Spirit” and are each represented by the same set of top-down spiritual relations with however distinguishable meanings.
  11. Through an eternal “Process of Emanation”, the AllSoul in the Spiritual Singularity diverges in infinitely many lower-order mutually integrated “aspects of Consciousness” (called “Souls”), with a trend of a continually decreasing level of Consciousness.                                                             

(The phrase “eternal process” might be confusing; in our philosophy, it reflects a “state of eternal immutable being”, which has always been and always will be, without beginning and without end. Also the term “integrated aspect” needs a clarification. In our theory, “B is an aspect of A" means that A “sees” itself or is seen on another level as B; so, B is A, but on another level; B is integrated in A, or A integrates B; if additionally, C is an aspect of B, C is actually and essentially also an aspect of A!)

  1. The Soul (in the meaning of any Soul!) as integrated aspect of the real, eternal, and immutable AllSoul, is also real, eternal, and immutable.

(The eternal Soul Experience (Consciousness) represents a “state of eternal immutable being”, just like the “Process of Emanation”.)

  1. All mentioned Entities in the Spiritual Singularity have their “lower-order aspects”. A lower-order aspect of the AllSoul is called “Soul”, a lower-order aspect of the AllSpirit (Al-Embracing Plan) is called “Spirit” (“Plan”), a lower-order aspect of the AllReality is called “virtual spiritual Reality” or “virtual physical reality”, and a lower-order aspect of the AllGod is called “virtual spiritual Being” or “virtual human being” (as inner Experiencer of the “virtual spiritual Reality” or “virtual physical reality”).

(In our theory, Soul and Plan are real(!), in contrast to the “virtual spiritual Reality” and “virtual physical reality”. The virtual spiritual Being and virtual human being can be seen as the “virtual me” of the AllGod’s lower-order aspect concerned.)

  1. Since in the “Spiritual Singularity” the Entities “AllSoul”, “AllSpirit”, “AllReality” and “AllGod” are fully equal, we assume their lower-order aspects being correlated!
  2. We define a Soul (a lower-order aspect of the “AllSoul”) as an Experience of the own correlated(!) Plan (a lower-order aspect of the “All-Embracing Plan”) as if(!) this Plan, consisting of top-down or bottom-up spiritual relations, is respectively the own correlated(!) “virtual spiritual Reality” or “virtual physical reality” (lower-order aspects of the “AllReality”) with their inner experiencer: the own correlated(!) “virtual spiritual Being” or “virtual human being” (lower-order aspects of the AllGod).
  3. Importantly(!!), the “virtual spiritual Being” and “virtual human being” see ultimately their virtual world and virtual themselves illusorily(!) as objectively real. In their illusorily-real shape, the beings are called “illusory spiritual Being” and “illusory human being” (in common parlance simply spiritual Being and human being).
  4. For convenience and easier understanding, we call the “illusorily-real physical reality” “human-experienced physical reality” and similarly, the “illusorily-real Spiritual reality” a “Spiritual-Being-experienced spiritual Reality”. Our main focus is of course on the first-mentioned!
  5. The definition of Soul in the above three points of conclusion makes only sense if it is based on an underlying real(!) and conscious(!) Experiencer in a real(!) Reality, so outside the virtual spiritual Reality and virtual physical reality. This Experiencer is found in the real AllGod as real Experiencer of the real AllReality in the Spiritual Singularity; the AllGod is conscious because of the equality of AllGod and AllSoul (Infinite Consciousness).
  6. Be aware that the “virtual spiritual Reality”, “virtual physical reality”, “virtual spiritual Being”, “virtual human being”, “illusory spiritual Being”, “illusory human being” and “human-experienced physical reality” are all pure Consciousness (Soul Experience), and on a still deeper level Divine Spirit.
  7. The “human-experienced physical reality” is the reality that we humans think to experience, not being aware that it is all illusion. This is the physical world in which we humans feel to be born, to live (with joy and sadness), to think, to have our ideas and emotions, and to die. Perhaps redundant, we emphasize that the “human-experienced physical reality” is a special part of the “virtual(!) physical reality”. 

(Note: we make a clear distinction between “virtual” and “illusory”; the illusorily-real human has the internal doubtless feeling to live in an objectively-real world, without having the slightest idea that actually his/her world is virtual.)

  1. So, the “human-experienced physical reality” is an illusion. It is not materialistic and not based on matter (as we humans think it is), but as said, based on Soul Experience (Consciousness) and on a still deeper level on Divine Spirit! The “Soul Consciousness” doesn’t only reflect quantitative aspects (dominated by arithmetic numbers) but also qualitative aspects, such as feelings of good, bad, beautiful, ugly, smelling nice, tasting good, etc.
  2. We regard the emanated Souls as the “neurons of a Divine Brain” in which, through an eternal “Process of Consciousness”, Consciousness is built up to Infinite Consciousness (AllSoul). Although the same “state of eternal immutable being”, the “Process of Consciousness” is in its meaning the reverse of the “Process of Emanation”.
  3. A threatening stagnation locally(!) in the very initial stage of the “Process of Consciousness”, due to the Soul’s insufficient 4-dimensional Consciousness on this extremely low level of Consciousness, forces the Soul to take a side road in the “Process of Consciousness”.
  4. On the side road, the Soul Experience concerns a virtual (sequential) physical(!) reality and illusorily-real physical(!) reality (or “human-experienced physical reality”), in contrast to the virtual (parallel) spiritual(!) Reality and illusorily-real spiritual(!) Reality (or “Spiritual-Being-experienced spiritual Reality”) on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”.
  5. In the first instance, one could think that the Soul transits from the main road to the side road of the “Process of Consciousness”. However, because of the Soul’s eternity and immutability, the Soul is already and has always been on the side road; actually, the Soul is on both the main and side road, for all eternity, without beginning and without end.
  6. So, related to the eternal Soul concerned, an eternal “virtual physical(!) reality” and “illusorily-real physical(!) reality” or “human-experienced physical reality” (on the side road) exist in addition to an eternal “virtual spiritual(!) Reality” and “illusorily-real spiritual(!) Reality” or “spiritual-Being-experienced spiritual Reality” (on the main road).
  7. The aim is of course that the eternal Soul Experience on the side road should enable an eternal avoidance of stagnation and eternal gaining of a little (more) 4-dimensional Consciousness (locally) on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”.                                                                      

(On the side road, the Soul experiences both its corresponding virtual human in a virtual physical(!) reality and its corresponding illusorily-real human in a “human-experienced physical reality”.)

  1. The intriguing question now is what the mechanism is behind the avoidance of stagnation locally on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”, due to the Soul’s eternal presence on both the main and side road. At the human’s death in the “human-experienced physical world”, a Soul’s retrospection of the finished human life (with time and space excluded!) provides exactly the information that in the “virtual spiritual(!) reality” is needed to avoid the stagnation locally on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”. Consequently, the Soul also gains a little (more) 4-dimensional Consciousness locally on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”.
  2. To reach these aims, the information gained by the Soul’s retrospection of the human life in the “human-experienced physical(!) reality” (on the side road) is “injected” (through the same Soul!) into the “Spiritual-Being-experienced spiritual(!) Reality” (on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”).
  3. Both this “Spiritual-Being-experienced spiritual(!) Reality” and the corresponding “human-experienced physical(!) reality”, as well as their “illusory spiritual Being” and “illusory human being”, are each other’s counterparts. The “illusory spiritual Being” concerned is in our theory actually called the “illusory astral Being” (in an “astral-Being-experienced spiritual(!) Reality”).                                                                                            

(The term “astral Being” instead of “spiritual Being” is used as long as the side road of the “Process of Consciousness” is still needed. The term is inspired on anthroposophical theories of the philosopher Rudolf Steiner.)

  1. We consider the virtual physical(!) reality” and its included “human-experienced physical(!) reality”, in combination with the “retrospection mechanism”, as a strict condition for the eternal “Process of Consciousness” and the eternal “Spiritual Singularity” (in other words, for “all there is”). This also may clarify the very purpose and the “why” of us humans.
  2. Because of the eternity of the Soul, the mechanism of the local avoidance of stagnation on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness” (after all, a Soul Experience!) is eternal. In other words, the Soul’s retrospection of the corresponding human life in its “human-experienced physical reality”, and therefore also the avoidance of local stagnation and the local gaining of a little more 4-dimensional Consciousness, are eternal. They have always been and always will be, without beginning and without end.
  3. So, as said the “human being” and corresponding “astral Being” are each other’s counterparts! The Soul experiences its corresponding human being in his/her “human-experienced physical reality” (on the side road of the “Process of Consciousness”), but also its corresponding “astral Being” in the “astral-Being-experienced spiritual Reality” (on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness”). The “Astral Being” is of course not experienced in the “human-experienced physical reality”. The “human being” is doomed to die in the “human-experienced physical reality”, whereas the “Astral Being” is eternal in its “Astral-Being-experienced spiritual Reality”!

(Further on in the text, we will discuss that also the human being and its “human-experienced physical reality” are in a way eternal, as strange as this sounds at this place!) 

  1. The up to now meant locality on the main road of the “Process of Consciousness” concerns the very initial stage of this “Process of Consciousness”. The missing of sufficient 4-dimensional Consciousness of the Soul, in this very initial phase of the “Process of Consciousness”, was our reason to introduce a side road of the “Process of Consciousness” in order to avoid local stagnation on the main road.
  2. We now leave in our imagination the locality of the very initial stage of the “Process of Consciousness” and go upwards along this eternal “Process of Consciousness”. As long as the 4-dimensional Consciousness is still insufficient, the locally eternal “side road and retrospection procedure” is repeated again and again, many times. As a consequence, upwards along the main road of the “Process of Consciousness” the 4-dimensional Consciousness of the Soul grows continually, up to the level that the side road is not needed anymore.
  3. Along the whole side road (i.e., as long as besides the main road the side road is still needed), the Soul experiences its “virtual physical reality” and illusory “human-experienced physical reality”. Both are based on “bottom-up spiritual relations”. In our theory, these “bottom-up spiritual relations” are taken to be subdivided into layers of “bottom-up spiritual relations”. Compare this with software relations in computer programs.
  4. The upper layer of “bottom-up spiritual relations” is the most relevant and important. Imposed by the All-Embracing Plan, in this layer the bottom-up spiritual relations are interpreted in the Soul as the physical relations of the “human-experienced physical reality” in the human-experienced past, present, and future.
  5. The lower layers (each of which has its impact on the layers higher up and finally on the upper layer!) contain the spiritual relations that, through their impact in the upper layer, determine the human-experienced (theoretical and material) physical findings about an evolutionary past. However, the “human-experienced physical reality” is an illusion, and its evolution is an illusion within this illusion of physical reality.
  6. Importantly, in all layers of bottom-up spiritual relations many so-called “black spiritual relations” are present. Black spiritual relations are relations that are not yet interpreted in the Soul to be physically manifest in the upper layer (because of the still too low level of Consciousness). As the level of Consciousness along the eternal “Process of Consciousness” grows (i.e., as we consider higher and higher levels in the eternal “Process of Consciousness”), more and more black spiritual relations become white (this could be seen as the eternal process of whitening black bottom-up spiritual relations upwards along the “Process of Consciousness”).
  7. As a consequence of increasing Consciousness upwards along the “Process of Consciousness”, the whitening of black bottom-up spiritual relations is the actual mechanism through which in the “human-experienced physical world” over time more and more scientific insight (theoretical and experimental) is gained about our physical world and its evolutionary past.

(In this respect, we could comparatively think of the scientifically assumed existence of “black matter” and “black energy”, which essentially are physical interpretations of “black spiritual relations”.)

  1. Speaking of “scientific”, science and scientific research are regarded in our philosophy as the Soul Experience of investigating bottom-up spiritual relations in their physical meaning, especially those in the lower and lowest layers (which manifest themselves physically to us humans, in particular the scientists, in the upper layer).

(We remind again that the bottom-up spiritual relations on the side road of the “Process of Consciousness” are interpreted in the Soul (and so by the humans in the illusory “human-experienced physical reality”) in the upper layer as physical relations.)

  1. We are personally convinced that the mysterious conceptual origin of “life” and “consciousness” (experience) shall never be fully understood and explained in science; in our opinion, it is beyond the scope of science! Human pataphysical imagination might provide a possibility to gain some insight into these mysteries. In our philosophy, “life” and “consciousness” originate conceptually from respectively the AllSpirit (All-Embracing Plan) and AllSoul (Infinite Consciousness) in the “Spiritual Singularity”.

(The AllSoul experiences the All-Embracing Plan; this All-Embracing Plan includes inherently the capacity(!) to experience. This could well be the essential conceptual origin of “life”, we think. The capacity (!) to experience the Plan, an aspect of the All-Embracing Plan, originates essentially from the AllSpirit, whereas the actual (!) experience of the Plan originates from the AllSoul.)

  1. Before the humans (we mean here the “civilization men”, for we don’t believe in a divine manifestation in lower-order humanoids) there was, of course, no “human-experienced physical reality”. That we nevertheless find and have found for instance skeletons of dinosaurs, is explained by the consistent impact of the concerning lower-layer bottom-up spiritual relations on spiritual relations in the upper layer.
  2. In the “human-experienced physical reality”, this impact of lower spiritual relations in the upper layer makes us humans believe and take for sure that indeed dinosaurs have lived in the far evolutionary past, and makes us find their skeletons as well (a result of the whitening of certain dark spiritual relations in lower layers and its (whitening) effect in the upper layer, provided the Soul’s Consciousness has the sufficient level).
  3. As having been said, the “human-experienced physical reality” is an illusion, and before the “civilization men” there was no “human-experienced physical reality”. Based on the oldest human civilization (Sumerian civilization), we estimate the age of the “human-experienced physical reality” at about 6000 years (this corresponds with biblical statements).
  4.  The evolution(!) of the “human-experienced physical reality” is an illusion within the illusion of this physical reality; based on science (in our theory the Soul’s investigation of among others the lowest bottom-up spiritual relations in their physical meaning), its beginning was 13.8 billion years ago.
  5. As previously discussed, the “side road and introspection procedure” causes the 4-dimensional Consciousness (Soul Experience) to increase smoothly upwards along the “Process of Consciousness”, up to a level that the side road is not needed anymore. Above this level of Consciousness, there is no “virtual physical reality” and therefore no “human-experienced physical reality” anymore. In the first instance, one could think of the end of the “human-experienced physical reality” and the disappearance of human-experienced physical time.

(In the next conclusion point we make clear that, based on eternity, there is no question of such end.)

  1. The “virtual physical reality”, and so the illusory “human-experienced physical reality”, is in our theory eternal (of course in the appropriate range of levels of Consciousness, where the side road is still needed). The question now is, how must eternity be understood in the case of a time-bound “human-experienced physical reality”?
  2. Because of the cohesion between Souls and therefore the time-bound cohesion between the humans of the whole humanity in the whole “human-experienced physical reality” over all times (as Soul Experience both kinds of cohesion are eternal), eternity has in this case the meaning that the time-bound “human-experienced physical reality” as a whole starts all over again after the abovementioned end. This is repeated again and again, for all eternity, without beginning and without end.

(This all matches with the eternity of the side road of the eternal “Process of Consciousness”.)

  1. We speak of an eternally ongoing sequence of “cycles of existence” of the “human-experienced physical reality”. The life that we humans live now has already been lived infinitely many times in previous “cycles of existence” and still will be lived infinitely times more; each time exactly the same life in exactly the same physical circumstances because of the immutability of Soul and corresponding Plan.
  2. The human has obviously an essential role in the “side road and retrospection procedure”, and so in the eternal stagnation avoidance on the main road of the eternal “Process of Consciousness”. During the life of a “human being” in the “human-experienced physical reality”, the Soul Experience of this human life overrules the Soul Experience (in the same Soul!) of the corresponding counterpart “astral Being” in the “astral-Being-experienced spiritual Reality”. With the death of the human in the “human-experienced physical reality”, the period of “overruling” is ended and the Soul Experience of the “astral Being” is now dominant. The period of “overruling” is characterized by what we could call “the Soul’s incarnation and excarnation”. This all happens in any “cycle of existence” of the “human-experienced physical reality" and is an eternal and immutable Experience of the Soul concerned!

(Note: the “cycles of existence” should not be confused with the generally assumed (but in our theory non-existent) reincarnations of Souls; any “cycle of existence” contains many incarnations of many Souls.)

  1. The above conclusion point might give an answer to the question “what happens after the human’s death in the “human-experienced physical reality”? As said, the Soul Experience concerns then the corresponding “astral Being” in the “astral-Being experienced spiritual Reality”. The restrictions of and suffering in the “human-experienced physical reality” aren’t experienced anymore in the Soul.
  2. According to our philosophy, absolutely everything is eternal and immutable. In the “human-experienced physical reality”, this is expressed in the eternal sequence of “cycles of existence”, which substantially are, down to the very slightest detail, always exactly the same. The human life follows herewith its immutable Plan (an aspect of the All-Embracing Plan) that is correlated to the corresponding Soul. We estimate the length of a “cycle of existence” at about 10.000 years, based on our opinion that we are over halfway in the current cycle with an estimated age of, as said previously, about 6000 years.
  3. Except for the aforementioned eternity and immutability, everything is also dominated by “oneness”. In the “human-experienced physical reality”, this is for instance expressed by the human’s being one with nature and with fellow humans (just like the “AllGod” being equal to the “AllReality” in the “Spiritual Singularity” and based on the unifying mutual integration of Souls). If we humans harm nature or fellow humans, we harm ourselves; we have seen this in many painful human experiences in past and present of the “human-experienced physical reality”!
  4. In the “human-experienced physical reality”, physically everything originates, according to science, from an infinitely dense “physical singularity”, called the “Bing Bang”. We see the “Big Bang” in its shape of physical singularity as the physical interpretation of the “Spiritual Singularity”. This is one of the many examples of the Hermetic Principle “As above, so below” that apply to our theory.
  5. Extremely surprising, a considerable number of so-called “synchronicities” (meaningful coincidences, discovered and described by Carl Jung) cover mainlines of our philosophy, such as the “Process of Emanation” and the “Process of Consciousness”. With a view to the infinite Intelligence of the All-Embracing Plan (All Spirit) in the “Spiritual Singularity”, we are inclined to see this cautiously as an indication of relevance or perhaps even a kind of evidence of our theory.
  6. Finally, as a last point, we would like to repeat the very first of the above points of conclusion, saying that “all there is”, and absolutely “all there is”, originates and happens in the real (so non-virtual) infinitely dense “Spiritual Singularity” (or “Heaven”). Clearly, the set of conclusions above, covering point by point our entire pataphysical philosophy, is actually our compilation of Heaven (see also Fig.1)! “Heaven” encloses all there is, and is real (not virtual), eternal, immutable (fixed), and has the property of “oneness”.

Scientists seek for a “theory of everything” (TOE) in physics. In this essay we look for a “spiritual theory of everything” (STOE), be it based on serious pataphysical imagination. We think to have given answers in our essay to the world’s most essential life questions in the “human experienced physical reality”: “Who are we in the very essence?”, “Where do we come from”, “Where are we going?”, “What is the aim of our existence?”, “Why does God admit that we suffer so much (wars, tortures, starving, etc.)”?

Our theory is an extreme version of post-materialist theories. We hope that in general post-materialist theories might be a stimulus for scientists to include spirituality and spiritual experiences in their research. Spirituality involves the feeling or belief that there is something greater than ourselves, that the greater whole, which we are part of, is cosmic or divine. Spirituality includes any experience that brings us into contact with the divine. To finish, we emphasize that our philosophy is not at all questioning the practically needed and very valuable activities in science, scientific research, engineering, and technology. On the contrary! Our philosophy might only sketch an underlying “Truth”.
